How Do I Remove a Recommendation from My Alignable Profile?

There are two ways you might need to manage recommendations on Alignable — removing one you wrote for someone else, or managing a recommendation you received on your own profile.

Removing a Recommendation You Wrote

Removing a recommendation you wrote will remove it from both your profile and the other member's profile. You might want to do this if you wrote the recommendation on the wrong page by mistake, or if something has changed between you and the other business that makes you want to rescind your endorsement.

1. Log into your Alignable account.
2. Click the My Business (▼) dropdown in the top-right section of the site.
3. Scroll down to the Recommendations Given box.
4. Find the recommendation you want to remove.
5. Click the three dots (...) beside the recommendation.
6. Select Remove Recommendation.
7. Confirm the deletion.

Declining or Removing a Recommendation You Received

When someone recommends you, you can choose to accept or decline before it appears on your profile. If you have not yet responded, see How Do I Accept or Ignore a Recommendation on Alignable?

If you previously accepted a recommendation and want to remove it — for example, if you accepted it by accident or your relationship with that business has changed — follow these steps:

1. Log into your Alignable account.
2. Click the My Business (▼) dropdown in the top-right section of the site.
3. Scroll down to the Recommendations Received box.
4. Find the recommendation you want to remove.
5. Click the three dots (...) beside the recommendation.
6. Select Remove Recommendation.
7. Confirm the deletion.
