People do business with people they like and trust, and this is your chance to show them who you are.
Think of it as answering the question: what set you on this path? Whether it was a lifelong passion, a problem you saw and decided to solve, or a pivot that changed everything — your story matters.
If you are not the owner of the business, lead with a few sentences about how the business got started, then describe your own career path and what led you to this role. Members want to understand both the company and the person behind the profile.
- Go to your business profile.
- Scroll down to the About Us section.
- Click the pencil icon or Edit.
- Scroll down to How We Got Started.
- Write or update your story.
- Click Save.
Tip: Keep it conversational. A few honest sentences will always outperform a formal paragraph. Write it the way you'd tell the story to someone you just met at a networking event.
