Alignable allows one business per account. Everything on your profile — your connections, recommendations, network, and subscription — is tied to that single business. If you own or operate multiple businesses, you have two options: create a separate account for each business, or combine them under one profile if their services are closely related.
Should You Combine or Create Separate Accounts?
Some businesses work well together under one profile because their service offerings are complementary and appeal to the same audience. Good candidates for combining include a real estate agent and a notary, a vet and a dog groomer, or a financial planner and a business coach. In these cases, a single profile can represent both without confusing potential connections.
Other combinations are harder to make work. An accountant and a wedding DJ, or a fractional CFO and an MLM affiliate, serve very different audiences and can dilute the focus of your profile. For businesses like these, separate accounts are the better choice.
If You Combine: Use the Parent Organization Approach
If your businesses are related enough to share one profile, represent the primary or parent business as the account. Then use the About Us section of your profile to describe the other businesses you operate and how they connect. For example, if Financial Acumen LLC is the parent company, the About Us section could explain that it encompasses Linda's Financial Advising, Smith and Co. Accounting Services, and 3 Sons Retirement Planning.
If You Create Separate Accounts
Each business needs its own completely independent Alignable account. There is no way to link accounts or switch between them — they are not connected in any way. To manage both, you will need to log out of one and log in to the other. Each account also requires its own paid subscription if you want premium features on both.
To create a new account, you must use a different email address than the one already associated with your existing account. Sign up for a new Alignable account here.
