Why Was My Alignable Verification Denied and What Can I Do?

Alignable is a business network for the United States and Canada only. Before doing anything else, confirm that your business is registered and operating in the US or Canada, and that you — the person representing the business — are also located there. If you or your business are outside the US or Canada, you are not eligible to join Alignable at this time.

Common Reasons for Denial

Foreign IP address: Your IP address was detected as being outside the US or Canada. If you are located in the US or Canada but were flagged, check whether you have a VPN active — a VPN masks your location and can trigger an automatic denial even if you are in the right country. Turn off your VPN and try again.

VPN use: Same as above — VPNs cause your connection to appear as if it is coming from another country. Disable your VPN before attempting to sign up.

Distance between your location and your business address: The system could not confirm that you are physically associated with the business you are registering. Submit the Location Verification Form below with documentation that supports your connection to the business.

Not enough information to verify: The information on your application could not be matched against public records. See the section below on what documentation is accepted.

What Documentation We Accept

To verify your business, we need official, government-issued or certified documentation. Acceptable documents include LLC or incorporation registration, government business registration, business insurance certificates, and for employees, a W-2, W-4, or pay stub.

We cannot accept business cards, letterhead, or any document that could be created without official registration. These do not provide the level of verification we need to confirm your business is legitimate.

How to Submit for Manual Review

If you believe your denial was an error or you have the documentation to support your application, fill out the Location Verification Form. Include the strongest documentation you have that confirms your identity, your connection to the business, and your location in the US or Canada.

Submit the Location Verification Form

What Happens After You Submit

Your submission is reviewed and cross-referenced against multiple public and regulatory databases, including NMLS, FINRA, IPAC, FDIC, and the Secretary of State, among others. If your information matches, you will receive an email with next steps to finish setting up your account. If we are unable to verify your information, you will also receive an email, and you will not be able to create an account at that time.
