When you send or accept a connection request, Alignable's AI drafts a message for you automatically by default. If you'd prefer to write your own message, you can switch to "Ask First" mode with a single toggle.
Understanding your two options
Auto-draft (default) means Alignable starts writing the message as soon as you send or accept a connection request. You can edit the draft before sending, but the drafting starts on its own.
Ask First means Alignable does not auto-draft. You write your own message from scratch. The option to generate a draft is still there if you want it — you can click the draft button inside the message at any time — but nothing happens automatically. If you do click the draft button while in Ask First mode, Alignable drafts only that one message. Your Ask First setting stays in place for future messages.
How to switch to Ask First
- Look for the toggle button to the right of the Send button when composing a message.
- Toggle from Auto-draft to Ask First.
Your preference is saved and will apply going forward.
Want to go back to auto-drafting? Toggle the same button back to Auto-draft at any time.
