Your ad links to a Promotion on your Alignable profile, not to an external site. However, inside the Promotion description on your profile, you can include your external registration link as text. Members who click your ad will land on the Promotion page and can then follow that link to register.
To be clear: the ad itself links to the Promotion on Alignable. The external link is in the Promotion description on your profile, not in the ad.
