How Do I Remove Myself from a Group Chat?

If you have been added to a Group Chat by one of your connections and would like to remove yourself, follow these instructions.

On a Desktop or Laptop

1. Log into Alignable
2. Click on "Messages" from the top menu bar
3. On the left-hand menu, find the Group Chat you'd like to leave
4. Click on that Group Chat
5. Click on the three dots (...) in the top right-hand corner of the message thread
6. Click "Leave Group" in the dropdown menu
7. Confirm that you want to leave the chat by clicking "Leave" in the pop-up window

On a Mobile Device

1. Log into Alignable and find the messages tab
2. Find the Group Chat you'd like to leave
3. Tap on the dots (...) in the top right-hand corner of the message thread
4. Click "Leave Group" in the dropdown menu
5. Confirm that you want to leave the chat by clicking "Leave" in the pop-up window

Note: Group Chats are different from direct messages to more than one person. You can only remove yourself from message threads that live in the Group Chat section of Messages.
