If you see a prompt to update your password when logging in to Alignable, this is expected. Alignable takes account security seriously and there are a few reasons this prompt may appear.
Why You May See This Prompt
There are three common reasons Alignable asks you to update your password:
- Periodic security updates: Alignable periodically requires all members to update their passwords as a routine security measure.
- Platform-wide security upgrade: Alignable has pushed account-wide password resets in the past and may do so again. Data shows that reusing passwords across multiple sites puts accounts at higher risk, so Alignable requires stronger, unique passwords to keep members safe.
- Too many failed login attempts: If you entered an incorrect password or verification code too many times, your account may have been locked and a password reset is required to regain access.
Password Requirements
When creating or updating your password, it must:
- Be at least 8 characters long
- Include at least 1 uppercase letter
- Include at least 1 lowercase letter
- Include at least 1 number (0–9)
How to Complete the Reset
The prompt will appear at login. If you remember your current password, follow the on-screen instructions to set a new one. If you do not remember your password, click Forgot Password on the login page to receive a reset link by email before completing the update.
Not Receiving the Reset Email?
