When you post to My Network, your post appears in the home feed of every one of your connections. The goal is not just to share — it is to start a discussion. The post composer even prompts you to "start a discussion" because that is exactly what a great network post does. You are the one who opens the conversation, and your connections chime in through comments. You can reply to their replies too, turning a single post into an ongoing thread of real conversations with people in your network.
What Makes a Good Network Post
Remember that your network posts go to your connections — people who have already chosen to connect with you. That means you can share more freely here than you might in a public forum. These are your people.
That said, every post should do three things: add value, bring it back to business, and start a conversation. Think of yourself as the discussion starter — your job is to open a topic, not close it. A tip you recently learned, a milestone your business hit, a question you are looking for advice on, something you noticed in your industry — these all work well. Write in your own voice, keep it conversational, and end with something that invites a reply.
What Not to Post
Contact information (phone number, email, address, etc.) — sharing personal contact details publicly creates spam risk and puts your information in front of people you may not intend to reach. Keep conversations within Alignable's messaging tools where you have control over who you connect with.
Off-platform sales links — links designed to pull members off Alignable for sales purposes are not allowed. The network feed exists to build relationships on-platform, not to drive traffic elsewhere.
Promotional content — ads, deals, specials, and offers belong on your business profile, not in the network feed. Members come to the feed for conversations and peer-to-peer value, not advertisements.
How to Post to My Network
- Log in to your Alignable account. You will land on your Home page.
- Scroll down to the Post to My Network box.
- Type your post and add an optional image.
- Click Post.
Posts that violate Alignable's community guidelines — including profanity, hate speech, and vulgarity — will be moderated and hidden from the feed.
