1. Click on the "Messages" tab in the top navigation menu of the desktop version of Alignable as seen below:
   
   
   

2. Click the "Message" button.

3. In the text box on the right of the "New Message" button, type the name of the person or business name, you are looking to message.

   

    

   Note:

   You can only message Alignable members who you are already connected with. To message members on Alignable who you are not connected with, find their profile and send them a connection request. After they accept, you will be able to message your new connection.  

Alternatively, you can go to the profile page of the business you want to message and click the purple "Message" button.

1. Find the profile of the member you are looking to message. You can find all of your connections in your Alignable network here. 

2. Click on  at the top of the profile as seen below:

   

    

   Note:

   You will see the option to message only if you are already connected with the business you are trying to message. Alternatively, if you are not connected with this person, you are going to see the   button. Additionally, if you have already sent a member a connection request, it will show .

3. After clicking on  button, a chat bubble will open at the bottom right of your screen where you can type your message to the business.

   

You can find a preview of your existing message threads, as well as, start new message threads in the chat bubble in the bottom right section of the site.

Using the chat bubble to start a conversation:

1. Click on the  button on the right-hand section of the "Chat Bubble":

2. An empty chat window will pop up next to the chat bubble. Type the name, business name, or email of the connection you are looking to message.

3. Click on the dropdown the name of the person you are looking to message.

4. Type the message in the bottom text box and click  or press "Enter" on your keyboard to send.

   

Using the chat bubble to message a connection who you already have an active message thread with. 

1. Click on the middle of the chat bubble to open your message threads.

2. Click on the message thread you would like to open. You can also scroll through all of your message threads.
