When you set up your sponsored placement on Alignable, you can choose from five ad types. Based on performance data, some options consistently outperform others — here's what you need to know before choosing yours.
Your Ad Type Options
1. Custom Ad (Recommended)
Build a fully customized ad with your own image, headline, subtitle, and call to action. This is Alignable's highest-performing ad type because it gives you full control over your message and lets you speak directly to the audience in each community you sponsor.
Best for: Any goal — driving action, building awareness, promoting a service, or making a strong first impression. When in doubt, choose this one.
2. Product or Service
Showcase a specific product or service directly from your Alignable profile. A strong product listing with a compelling image and clear description performs well and is a solid second choice.
Best for: Establishing yourself as the go-to provider for a specific service in your community.
3. Promotion or Event
Feature an upcoming event or limited-time offer. Members who click will go directly to your promotion page. This ad type tends to underperform compared to Custom Ads and Product or Service ads.
Best for: Time-sensitive offers where urgency is the primary message.
4. Spotlighted Recommendation
Highlight social proof by featuring a recommendation you've received from another business owner on Alignable. Members who click can read the full recommendation on your profile. This ad type tends to generate lower engagement.
Best for: Trust-building in communities where you are less well known, when paired with a strong profile. Not recommended as your primary ad strategy.
5. Business Profile
Promote your complete Alignable profile, displaying your business name, logo, and your name with a link to your profile. This is the simplest option and typically generates the least engagement of the five ad types.
Best for: Building general awareness when you don't have other content ready to promote.
Content Guidelines
All sponsored content must be relevant and valuable to the Alignable community and must adhere to Alignable's terms of use and advertising policies.
