How do I remove myself from a Group Chat?

If you have been added to a Group Chat by one of your connections and would like to remove yourself from the chat, follow these instructions:

To leave a group chat on a desktop or laptop device follow these two steps:

  1. Log into Alignable

  2. Click on "Messages" from the top menu bar

  3. On the left-hand menu, find the Group Chat you'd like to leave 

  4. Click on that Group Chat 

  5. Click on the three dots (...)  in the top right-hand corner of the message thread

  6. Click "Leave Group" in the dropdown menu.
  7. Confirm that you want to leave the chat by clicking "Leave" in the pop-up window.

 

To leave a group chat on a mobile device follow these two steps:

  1. Log into Alignable and find the messages tab.

  2. Find the Group Chat you'd like to leave: 

  3. Tap on the dots (...) in the top right-hand corner of the message thread 

  4. Click "Leave Group" in the dropdown menu.

  5. Confirm that you want to leave the chat by clicking "Leave" in the pop-up window.

Note: Group Chats are different from direct messages to more than one person. You can only remove yourself from message threads that live in the Group Chat section of Messages.
