How Do I Cancel, Skip, or Reschedule an Event on Alignable?

Life happens — and sometimes that means a hosted event needs to change. Whether you need to cancel, skip an upcoming occurrence in a series, or move an event to a new date or time, Alignable has tools to help you handle it. This guide covers the policy and points you to the right how-to for each situation.

Looking for a Specific How-To?

The 24-Hour Notice Requirement

All hosts are required to give at least 24 hours notice before canceling, skipping, or rescheduling any event. This means two things:

  • Send an event announcement to notify all registrants before making changes in the system.
  • Email the appropriate Alignable team (see below) to let them know as well.

Both steps are required — not just one.

Who Do I Notify at Alignable?

If you're able to find a replacement host when a last-minute conflict comes up, go to the registration list, click the 3 dots next to the replacement's name, and select Make Host.

What If I Have a Personal Emergency?

If an emergency prevents you from giving 24 hours notice or from canceling in-app, email groupleaders@alignable.com as soon as possible. The team can help cancel the event or find a replacement host. Following this process excuses the short notice up to 2 times per year. Beyond that, your hosting privileges may be reviewed.

What Counts as a No-Call/No-Show?

Failing to notify both your registrants and the Alignable team counts as a no-call/no-show. Extenuating circumstances — like illness, accidents, natural disasters, or power outages — can be reviewed by the Alignable team on a case-by-case basis. Reach out to the appropriate team email above to request a review.

A Note on In-Person Events

When creating in-person events, always include the exact address of the venue or location. A general business name or "TBD" will not be accepted.
