How Do I Add a Moderator to My Group on Alignable?

Group Leaders and Ambassadors can assign moderators to help keep their group running smoothly. Moderators can hide and unhide posts in the group, but they cannot create events, update group rules or guidelines, or take other administrative actions.

How to add a moderator

  1. Navigate to the group you lead.
  2. Click Directory on the left side of the page, below the group name and image.
  3. Use the search field to find the member you want to make a moderator.
  4. Click the three dots to the right of their name.
  5. Select Make Moderator from the dropdown.

The member is now a moderator and can begin hiding or unhiding posts in the group.

What moderators can and cannot do

Moderators are there to help maintain a welcoming environment by managing post visibility. They can hide posts that violate group rules and unhide posts that were removed by mistake.

Moderators cannot create group events, edit group rules or guidelines, add or remove other moderators, or make other administrative changes to the group. Those actions remain with the group Leader, Co-Leader, or Ambassador.
