Whether you can leave a group on Alignable depends on the type of group you are in. You can only leave groups you voluntarily joined. Groups that Alignable automatically assigned to you based on your location or industry cannot be left.
Why You Cannot Leave Community or Industry Groups
When you join Alignable, you are automatically placed in a Community Group (neighbor-to-neighbor, based on your location) and an Industry Group (peer-to-peer, based on your industry). These are closed groups available only to members in that specific community or industry, so membership is tied to your profile and cannot be removed.

How to Leave an Interest, Topic, or Demographic Group
You can leave any group you chose to join yourself, including interest, topic, and demographic groups.
- Go to the group you want to leave and open the group homepage.
- Click the three-dot button (...) on the left panel of the group page.
- Click Leave Group.
You will be removed from the group immediately.
What Happens When You Leave
Any posts or content you created will remain in the group after you leave. You will lose access to the group and will no longer receive notifications from it. If you want to rejoin later, you can do so at any time. If the group is private, you will need to request to join again and wait for the group leader to approve your request.
