What Will Get My Post Removed in an Alignable Group?

Group posts on Alignable go through automatic moderation and may also be reviewed by group leaders. Posts that break the rules are hidden or removed, and repeat violations can affect your standing on the platform.

Content That Gets Posts Removed

  • Advertising language or promotional content. Groups are for conversation, not sales. Save promotions for your profile or a Community Sponsorship.
  • Images containing branding, contact information, or sales flyers. Even if the text of your post is fine, a promotional image will get it flagged.
  • Contact information in the post body. Phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses are not allowed in group posts.
  • Links that lead members off the Alignable platform. Instead of dropping a link, describe what the resource covers and why it is valuable. Members should not have to leave Alignable to get the information.
  • Non-Alignable event links. Only Alignable Smart Connect event links and profile links are approved.
  • Copy-and-paste content. Posting identical or near-identical content across multiple groups is flagged automatically by Alignable's moderation system and will likely be removed before it is seen. Even if the same topic is relevant to multiple groups, posts that are too similar across groups may be reported as spam by members. Always write original content tailored to each group.
  • Political or religious content.
  • Posts longer than 1,000 words.
  • Standalone introduction posts. Use the group's designated introduction thread or the Community Group Introduction box instead.
  • Content that violates Alignable's Terms and Conditions. This includes anything inappropriate for a professional business networking environment.

If Your Post Is Removed

You will receive a notification explaining the category of violation. Review the group rules and the Alignable Group Guidelines before reposting.
