If you are looking to remove all of your personal data from Alignable, we have a process you can use to either download your data or have your data permanently deleted from our system.

Once you have submitted the form, you will receive a confirmation email. Please allow about 24-48 hours for our team to process your request. If your request is rejected, approved, or completed, you will also be notified via email.
Please note: In order to remove your data from Alignable, your account will be deactivated and you will lose access to the platform.

We take your privacy seriously. When you request to permanently delete your data from Alignable, we ask for a government-issued ID to confirm your identity. This step helps ensure your data stays secure and that only you can access or remove your personal information.
Note: Deleting your data is not the same as deleting your profile or unsubscribing from Alignable. Account deactivation (link to deactivate) and unsubscribing (link to unsubscribe) can be done without submitting a Legal Data Request or providing an ID. This process is only required for permanent data deletion in compliance with privacy laws.

Why Do We Require ID for Data Deletion or Data Download Requests?
When you submit a request to permanently delete or download your personal data (also known as a Legal Data Request), we require identity verification to protect your privacy. Here’s why:
- To ensure only you can access or delete your data. This prevents someone else from impersonating you and accessing your sensitive information.
- To comply with privacy laws. Regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) require companies to verify requests for data deletion to safeguard users.
- To prevent fraud. Identity verification ensures that we’re responding to legitimate requests and protecting your account and the information it contains from unauthorized access.
How We Protect Your Information
Your ID is handled with care to ensure your privacy and security:
- We never store your ID. The verification process is managed through Osana, a secure third-party service that specializes in identity verification.
- Your data is encrypted. The verification process uses encryption to keep your information safe from unauthorized access.
- We only use your ID for verification. Once your identity is confirmed, your ID is no longer retained. This information is completely deleted in accordance to privacy laws once the request is completed.
