How Do I Use the Search Function to Find a Specific Person or Business on Alignable?

The Search function lets you find a specific member by name or email, or look up a business by name. You can also use filters to refine your results by reputation and relationship.

How Do I Search for a Person by Name?

1. Go to Search
2. Type the person's name or email address into the search bar — spelling must be correct
3. A dropdown list of matching members will appear as you type
4. Distinguish between members with the same name by checking the company name listed, or click their name to visit their Alignable profile

How Do I Search for a Business by Name?

1. Click into the search bar and select Search for Businesses
2. Type the business name into the new search bar
3. If more than one result appears, use the additional details shown to distinguish between them
4. Click Preview Profile to visit that business's Alignable profile

What Do the Search Filters Do?

Reputation filters help you find businesses with a strong track record on Alignable:

• Highly Recommended — businesses that have received 25 or more recommendations from other members
• My Network Recommends — businesses that someone in your existing network has recommended

Relationship filters show you how you are connected to someone (available to paid members only):

• 1st Degree — your direct connections
• 2nd Degree — connections of your connections
