How Do I Change My Email Preferences on Alignable?

Alignable sends several types of emails to keep you connected to your network, informed about opportunities, and up to date on the platform. If you are receiving more emails than you want, or emails that do not feel relevant to your experience, you can adjust your preferences at any time. Keep in mind that reducing notifications too aggressively can mean missing connection requests, direct messages, event invitations, and updates on new tools and features.

How to Update Your Email Preferences

  1. Open the My Business (▼) dropdown in the top navigation.
  2. Click Account.
  3. Click Email in the sub-menu.
  4. Select your preferred notification level or choose Custom to toggle individual types.

You can also go directly to your Email Preferences page.

Notification Levels Explained

Receive All Notifications includes everything: hints and tips (how-to guides, feature explanations, and onboarding emails that walk you through tools you have purchased), discussion digests (summaries of trending posts in your groups), connection requests, messages, event updates, and more.

Receive Important Notifications limits emails to connection requests, recommendations, and direct messages from other members only.

Receive No Notifications means you will only receive emails related to your account, privacy, and security. You will not be notified of new releases, event invitations, connection opportunities, or tips on how to get the most from Alignable.

Custom lets you toggle specific notification types individually across four categories.

What You Can Toggle in Custom Settings

Build Relationships: Connection requests and recommendations from other members, direct messages, reminders about pending requests and unread messages, and suggestions to strengthen existing relationships. Turning off connection requests means you will not be notified when a member sends you a request or a recommendation. Turning off messages means you will not be notified of new direct messages.

Meet New People: Notifications when businesses engage with your profile or content (this is where lead opportunities come through), suggested connections from your networking coach, alerts when new businesses join your local community, and upcoming networking events relevant to you. Turning off profile engagement means you will miss lead opportunities from members viewing your business.

Engage with Your Communities: Updates on events you have registered for, new and trending discussions in your communities, the weekly Hale newsletter, and updates about groups and events you lead. Turning off event updates means you will not be notified when events you signed up for start or change.

Business Education and Product Updates: Tips for getting the most from Alignable, exclusive offers and promotions, webinars and coaching for business skills, and invitations to surveys and beta programs through the Alignable Research Center.
