This article is meant for members who have been added to a Group Chat by a connection. If you have been added to a Group Chat by one of your connections and would like to remove yourself from the chat, follow these instructions:

Group Chats are different from direct messages to more than one person. You can only remove yourself from message threads that live in the Group Chat section of Messages.
To leave a group chat on a desktop or laptop device follow these two steps:

Log into Alignable and find the messages tab.

On the left-hand menu, find and click on the group chat you'd like to leave:

To leave the group chat, click on the dots (
) in the top right-hand corner of the message thread to open your group chat controls:

A menu will open with your group chat controls. To leave the group chat, click Leave Group.
To leave a group chat on a mobile device follow these two steps:

Log into Alignable and find the messages tab.

In the group menu, find and tap the Group Chat you'd like to leave:

To leave the Group Chat, tap on the dots (
) in the top right-hand corner of the message thread to open your Group Chat controls:

A menu will open with your Group Chat controls. To leave the Group Chat, tap Leave Group.
