How do I delete / deactivate my Alignable account?

Please Note the Following:

  • Deactivating your Alignable account is a permanent action that cannot be undone.
  • Only the Primary User or "Face of the Business" can deactivate the account.
  • If you have an active paid subscription, you will need to downgrade your membership before deactivating your account.
  • You can always unsubscribe your email address from receiving Alignable emails here.

To deactivate your account, follow the following steps:

  1. Log into your accountIf you have trouble logging in, see here how to log into your account

  2. Once you are logged in, open the My Business dropdown in the upper-right hand corner and click Account Settings.

  3. On the account settings page, click Screen_Shot_2019-07-25_at_1.23.00_PM.png in the top right-hand section of the page.

  4. You will arrive at a page where you can confirm you would like to proceed with deactivating your account by verifying your email. Click Screen_Shot_2019-07-25_at_1.27.40_PM.png to confirm. You will receive a verification email to the email associated with your Alignable account with further instructions on how to deactivate your account.

    You will receive an email with the subject line Alignable Account Deactivation Instructions coming from It may take up to 5-10 minutes before you receive the verification email. 

  5. Once you receive the email, click Click on this link on Step 1 to continue your deactivation.



    If you don't believe you received the deactivation verification email, open this dropdown.

    If you believe you did not receive the verification email with instructions on how to deactivate your account, please follow these instructions on how to troubleshoot the problem:

    • Please allow up to 5-10 minutes for the email to arrive in your inbox.
    • Look in your spam or junk folders.
    • Check whether the email may have been filtered into any other folders you have set up for your inbox.
    • Check other email accounts you own as it may be possible the email under your account is different than the account you believe you had set up the account under. You can confirm which email you have under your in the Account Settings page.
    • If you are using Gmail, it is possible the email may have been filtered into the "Social" or "Promotions folder.

    • We have had instances of email providers automatically archiving the email within member's inboxes. Try searching for Alignable Account Deactivation Instructions in the search bar of your inbox to find the email. Or search for emails from

    • If you do not find the email in your inbox, please add to your contact list within your email provider and request another verification email by clicking Screen_Shot_2019-07-25_at_1.27.40_PM.png
  6. Confirm your deactivation by typing your business name exactly as it appears on your profile. Where can I find my business name?

    If the business name you type does not match the one that is on your profile, you will receive an error saying: To confirm you have read these warnings, please type your business name below.

    You will also see a message that says: Please type: "...". The quoted text is what is currently listed as your business name on your profile. Simply write exactly the same thing into the form field as seen below.


  7. Provide any feedback as to why you decided to deactivate your account.

  8. Click Confirm Deactivation to deactivate your account.
