I'm being matched with the wrong businesses - how do I edit my community?

What determines my Alignable Community?

When you first join Alignable, the community you become a part of is determined by the business address you listed when you first created your account. 

If you believe that this location is incorrect, or would like to edit it to the community where you do most of your business, you can change your address on your profile to change the community your business is a part of.

How to change your business address on Alignable?

Click Here  to edit the Address on your Alignable Profile.

To change your business address and the community you are assigned to on Alignable, you'll want to follow these steps: 

  1. Go to your business profile.

    Go to your business profile by clicking on the My Business (▼) dropdown on the top-right section of the site. Then click Visit My Business Profile.

  2. Find your business address on your profile. Click Edit.

    Once in your profile, scroll down to the section of your profile that displays your address and click on the blue Edit button as shown below:

    Note

    This block will move depending on if you are browsing on a desktop or a mobile device. On desktops, this block will be at the top right of your profile. On mobile devices, this block will be at the bottom of your profile.

  3. Add your new business address.

    Once you click edit, a screen will pop up where you can add or edit your business address as shown in the picture below. Type in your new business address. 
    At a minimum, you are required to type in your city, state, and zip code. You do have the option to hide your street address.

  4. Click Save.

    ⚠️ Alert

    Every member can change their street address at any time, but changing your town, state, or zip code more than two times within a period of 6 months will require approval. This is done to ensure that businesses are, in fact, local.

    If prompted, please input your reason for switching locations (as seen below) and select Save again. Requests are usually approved or denied within 24 hours.
