I'm being matched with the wrong businesses - how do I change my community?

When you first join Alignable, the community you become a part of is determined by the business address you listed when you first created your account. 

If you believe that this location is incorrect, or would like to change it to the community where you do most of your business, you can change your address on your profile to change the community your business is a part of.

  1. To change your address, navigate to your profile by clicking My Business in the top right of your screen.

  2. Scroll down to the section of your profile that displays your address and click on the blue Edit button as shown below:



    This block will move depending on if you are browsing on a desktop or a mobile device. On desktops, this block will be at the top right of your profile. On mobile devices, this block will be at the bottom of your profile.

  3. Once you click edit, a screen will pop up where you can add/edit/remove your address as shown in the picture below:

  4. Click Save at the bottom.

    ⚠️ Alert

    Every member can change their street address at any time, but changing your town, state, or zip code more than two times will require approval. This is done to ensure that businesses are, in fact, local.

  5. If prompted, please input your reason for switching locations (as seen below) and select "Save" again. Requests are usually approved or denied within 24 hours.
